Supermarket Sidekick — Senior Capstone Project: (January-August 2023)

Supermarket Sidekick is a full-stack web application developed as part of my senior capstone project. The platform was designed to simplify grocery shopping by allowing users to search for products and instantly compare prices across nearby Kroger stores and affiliated locations. The goal was to eliminate the need for users to manually browse multiple websites or apps to find the best deals.

The application was built using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end, with a Python-based Django framework powering the back end. We integrated the Kroger API to pull real-time product and pricing data, which was then processed and stored in a MySQL database. This allowed us to efficiently aggregate and display relevant results in a single, user-friendly interface.

Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in full-stack development, API integration, database design, and collaborative software development. I also contributed to structuring the application’s logic, optimizing data handling, and ensuring a seamless user experience from search to results.

Computer Programming: (August-December 2022)

Computed programs in Java and C# that allowed the user to input data that was followed by a generated output. Designed different software that took into account user experience & aesthetics.

Database Management: (January-May 2021)

Built a database in SQL Server to display different variations of tables to show data. Used Power BI to visualize it into graphs.

System Administration: (June-August 2020)

Optimized Linux to create and implement administrative roles to different users with different levels of privacy and security.
